Delegates will assume command of defense, intelligence, and diplomatic organs during the immediate onset of the 1973 Yom Kippur war. Over a continuous, real-time, 24 hour emergency session, they will steer national policy through PM Golda Meir’s ad-hoc war council (aka “Kitchen Cabinet”) while literally sitting around a recreated kitchen table. As the conflict unfolds, the committee room will physically change to reflect policy decisions and outcomes. Alongside their crisis notes, delegates will sometimes receive asymmetric briefings that present unique challenges and competitive opportunities. Delegates can expect a highly immersive experience, and should leave their leather shoes at home.
