Founded in 2006, 126 UN Member States have contributed to CERF, which in turn provides humanitarian aid of all kinds to people and areas in need all across the globe.
This year more so than most, it has become apparent that aid is often not given to those most in need. Since 2006, CERF has provided humanitarian aid to crisis regions all across the globe.
At Emory, we are committed to doing our part as citizens of a privileged society to helping those less fortunate than ourselves. In an era of unparalleled political division in the 21st century, it is important that we do not lose sight of that which makes us truly great - our morals, and our binding desire to be better and do better.
The United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund embodies the actions taken in pursuing those ideals and has so far aided millions across the globe.
Throughout our conference, we will be hosting a fundraiser, all proceeds of which will be donated to CERF in the hopes of providing humanitarian aid to those most in need. We are proud to be taking part in CERF's cause and hope to spread awareness about the organization in the hopes of garnering more support for their mission!
