EIRA is committed to actively involving students in activities furthering knowledge of international relations and global issues. EIRA promotes civic understanding and problem solving in international relations. This includes collegiate and inter-collegiate debate by traveling to different Model UN conferences; sponsoring events, fundraisers, and lectures on international topics for the benefit of the Emory and Atlanta communities; and hosting the annual collegiate Model UN conference at Emory, Model United Nations at Emory (MUNE) and high school conference, Emory National Model United Nations Conference (ENMUNC).
The EIRA travel team attends 10+ yearly conferences, flying around the country to represent Emory in collegiate Model United Nations competitions.
The travel team holds tryouts at the beginning of each semester.
We host MUNE every fall and ENMUNC in the spring. MUNE is our premier Best Delegate ranked conference for collegiate teams. ENMUNC empowers high school students to compete in Model UN on Emory's campus, getting a view into collegiate life.
Partners with Emory Graduation Generation and local high schools to teach public speaking, research, and interpersonal skills. Go in-classroom to explain Model UN basics and foster an understanding of global affairs for the next generation of scholars.
Attend events hosted by an impressive roster of guest speakers and join in discussions about geopolitics and international affairs. EIRA's signature events include internship panels and career workshops, public speaking seminars, and trivia nights.
