In the barely twenty years since the French Revolution shook the world, France has executed her monarch, waged war with most of Europe, and come under the power of a Corsican general who declared himself the first Emperor of France. Following the Treaties of Tilsit in the summer of 1807, Napoleon Bonaparte has established France as the dominant power in Europe. Unfortunately for him, the rest of Europe chafes at his rule, and many see the writing on the wall spells doom for France. The delegates will form an advisory council consisting of generals, ministers, foreign dignitaries, and various royals gathered to advise the Emperor Napoleon through the crisis. This committee will tackle the growing threat of British warfare, a bloody guerrilla conflict in Spain, and the steady unraveling of French diplomatic relations. Ambitious delegates can find a way to seize more power in a preserved First French Empire, or achieve their goals by taking advantage of a crumbling France.
Daniel Keane a sophomore at Emory University studying History as well as taking the pre-med track. He grew up reading the Horrible Histories series as a child and has been fascinated by history since then. He has recently researched the Napoleonic Era and found it rife with conflict, intrigue, and backstabbing, and figured it could work well in a crisis setting. He is excited to see how delegates work to save (or destroy) the First French Empire in pursuit of their own ends.
